When you see a high powered sports car on the road or track your first thought is to wonder what’s under the hood. Many times these vehicles have engines that are made specifically for the car, but in some cases these engines were borrowed or shared with another model. What might surprise you is to learn that some of the most amazing sports cars we have loved had engines from some of the most mainstream cars on the road. This allows you to see what can happen when a car tunes up the engine to let out the performance the engine can provide.

The C8 Corvette Will Honor Possibly its Biggest Champion
While the Corvette has been a racing machine for many years and has symbolized the icon of power, engineering, aerodynamics and precision for generations, the name that will adorn the C8 model will not honor a driver but rather the man who was responsible for much of the development of the Corvette for most of its first few generations. This name will be the ZoRa1 which will be in honor of Zora Arkus-Duntov and his contributions to this amazing racing machine over the years.

Power on the Crazy Level
We love powerful cars. When we discuss cars in general some of the most important figures, at least in our minds, typically include the horsepower, torque, top speed, quarter mile time, time to reach sixty mph and much more to do with the power, speed and performance of the vehicle. Not often do we hold back on a car and ask it to go slower, in fact we are constantly looking for new ways to pull more power out of an engine in order to bring about the best we can get and see just what more power will do. Strange as it might be, some cars just might have too much power for their own good; here are some examples to give you an idea:
What to Consider When Porsche Shopping
Most of us don’t have the kind of cash a new Porsche 911 calls for nor do we have the ability to buy a 991 that, even though it’s a used model, will still call for a large sum of cash. You could look to the old 997 model and still have to part ways with over $30,000 and some of the older 911 models that are basically junked out will cost you more than $34,000 just to tow them away. This makes shopping for a great Porsche nearly an impossibility for those of us just looking for a fun sports car for the weekends at a great price, unless of course you consider the 996.
Bronco Facts to Get Us Ready
With the announcement that Ford will bring back the Bronco before the decade is out and the fact that this can only cause a great deal of excitement this is the perfect time to look back at the first generation of the Bronco to make it difficult to argue against this awesome little SUV coming back.
First of all, the Bronco was built to be a competitor for the Jeep CJ-5 and the International Harvester Scout. When it arrived the Bronco offers the advantage of coil springs in the front suspension which helped to improve performance on and off the road. Another advantage to start with was the optional V8 engine which was not present on the other two competitors.
