Racing has been part of our world since the beginning of the automobile. Because Europe has been such an integral part of racing and is home to most of the supercars that we admire any visit you make to Europe should include at least a cursory visit to some of the greatest race tracks on the continent. If you haven’t made your plans for a European race track tour just yet it may be time to begin. Along with a visit to any of these amazing locations you should try to attend a race or even take your rental car out on the track if that track allows you to.

2017 Jeep Patriot: A Big Difference for You
The challenge many automakers have when they build a compact SUV is making sure the vehicle is still capable of being used on and off the road. The Jeep Patriot doesn’t have that problem and as an actual Jeep this SUV comes to you at a great price and offers the benefit of the drive you want to enjoy at a price you can afford. When you need your compact SUV to drive like a car but give you the performance that’s similar to larger SUV’s, the Jeep Patriot makes a great choice for all your driving needs.
The Mustang Keeps Getting Better
If you want to drive a Mustang that offers you the manual transmission and no power steering of the old school models you’ll be sorely disappointed. In fact there is a good chance the car will drop the 3.7-liter V6 from the lineup but other items will be added to make this a better car to drive than it’s been in the past. For 2018 the plans are in place for the Mustang to receive some impressive improvements to make it a car that is even more performance oriented on the road and on the track.
2017 Toyota Yaris: Affordability and Dependability Together
Is dependability boring? When you go somewhere or make a commitment to someone are you always where you’re expected to be and depended upon to get done what needs to get done? If that’s boring then maybe more of us should sign up for that characteristic and be more boring like the Toyota Yaris. As part of the Toyota family of vehicles, the Yaris is the least expensive model on the road today and comes in either a three or five-door hatchback style that’s dependable and fuel efficient as well as affordable, making it a great choice for many to drive.

The Argument Continues
The discussion between which type of engine is better continues to loom onward. Some love their naturally aspirated engines that are pure power and only tuned to what they want while many have fallen for the turbocharged boost that you can now have on smaller engines. The benefits in fuel efficiency are obviously going to favor the turbocharged engines and the fact that you can get more power out of smaller engines is certainly admirable as well. There’s still nothing quite like the instant power that a pure engine gives you on one that hasn’t been boosted in any way.
Not Your Ordinary RV
The idea of taking the family on a fun RV trip around the country appeals to many of us. Having a place to sleep at night that has air conditioning and can be parked at a variety of campgrounds around the country is the way to see the country from the road as you ride high above and see what this beautiful country has to offer. While the romance of being able to sit high and ride with a huge steering wheel and vehicle at your control sounds great, thousands of miles of right lane, slower speed driving doesn’t sound like a lot of fun at all.
Tune it Up and Take a Look
The SEMA show is a place that automakers go each year to show off their new vehicles and what they can do to tune them up and bring more performance to the market in a variety of ways. At the beginning of the year Lexus showed us the new LC500 as a model that would become a production sports car and offer us some exciting style and high end performance to be a luxury sports coupe that anyone would want to drive. This unveiling at the Detroit Auto Show at the beginning of the year got our engines churning about Lexus, but this new model that was taken to SEMA revs up the excitement in a big way.
How Fast Can an Electric Car Actually Be?
What do you think of when you hear the words electric car? For some of us the vision is of a Nissan Leaf and the puttering along it can do. While this car is one of the most popular examples of an electric car it’s not exactly an exciting model unless you only consider saving the environment exciting. Even though the Leaf is an admirable vehicle for many to drive there has to be something more enjoyable on the stage than the Leaf to turn our heads and give us the excitement we want to have from behind the wheel of an electric car.
Volkswagen, Say it Isn’t So
While it’s not real surprise that the Volkswagen diesel scandal will have an adverse effect on the vehicles they produce, this financial disaster for the brand is actually going to affect more of Volkswagen Group that first was announced. The fact that Volkswagen Group is comprised of twelve different brands gives it a massive reach and the ability to pool money when needed to ensure these brands are able to stay active and vibrant in the marketplace. When news of this scandal broke, Volkswagen Group began to figure out where they could get the money from to handle the scandal that was in front of them with an original estimate of nearly $46 billion that would be needed to handle the costs.
2017 Toyota Prius V: Giving You More Room
The Toyota Prius has now been around for over a quarter of a century and has developed from being a car that is only a wedge shape into one that offers polarizing looks and a feel that’s easy to love. The Prius V is the model that gives you the most space to enjoy the ride and have the room you want to so that you can easily have the ride you want. If you’re shopping for a compact crossover SUV the Prius V is worth a look and even though it’s not categorized as an SUV, it does have the size and space that competes with some of the compact SUVs on the market while offering you the hatchback design you need.
