What Is ProPILOT Assist?
ProPILOT Assist is Nissan’s hands-on driver assist system. It combines the automaker’s Steering Assist technologies with Intelligent Cruise Control. Drivers can use ProPILOT Assist to reduce stress in traffic and make long drives more enjoyable.
Nissan designed ProPILOT assist for use specifically on highways in single-lane traffic. The system utilizes a combination of sensors, monitors, and image-processing technology to evaluate road and traffic situations and respond appropriately.
The 2024 Nissan Rogue has a front windshield camera that monitors lane markings and a forward-facing radar sensor that measures the following distance.
On some trim levels, the 2024 Rogue also features Navi-Link, which interacts with ProPILOT Assist, using map data to optimize performance. Drivers select a route via the built-in Navi-Link system, and the rest happens automatically.
Maintaining Vehicle-to-Vehicle Distance
The 2024 Nissan Rogue can use ProPILOT Assist to maintain a consistent vehicle-to-vehicle distance within a preset range of driving speeds. The system controls the throttle and brakes automatically, making it easy to maintain a safe distance in traffic.

Nissan ProPILOT Assist 2.0 offers Level 3 autonomous driving, meaning that it can operate without any driver input under certain circumstances. Rogue models equipped with ProPILOT Assist 2.0 can brake, steer, speed up, and navigate between on- and off-ramps.
