Soon, the 2024 model of the Hyundai Palisade will be among the used Hyundai Palisade selection. The 2025 model is due out in the summer of this year, but it’s likely to be largely unchanged. A Few Expected Upgrades
While there aren’t many big changes for the 2025 Hyundai Palisade, there are a few updates to the exterior and interior. The exterior changes include a refreshed grille, upgraded lights with a slim LED design, and some different wheel designs. On the inside, the Hyundai Palisade boasts a redesigned dashboard and a larger infotainment screen. Larger infotainment screens and instrument clusters are all the rage and the Palisade gets in on the game for 2025.
The new Palisade is expected to feature a longer wheelbase, which should bring enhanced room inside, plus better handling and stability. Another likely update is the introduction of a hybrid powertrain or maybe two. This would pair a 2.5-liter gas engine with an electric motor. Currently, the Palisade is powered by a 3.8-liter V6 engine that makes up to 291 horsepower. The fuel economy is rated for up to 26 MPG on the highway with FWD and 24 MPG with AWD.
How the Palisade Looks Now
Even a Used Hyundai Palisade’s main claim to fame is providing affordable luxury in a packed segment. Most Palisade trims have more luxury than many of its rivals, but the range-topping Calligraphy trim takes it to another level. In terms of performance, the Palisade offers a powerful V6 engine, responsive steering, and pleasant driving dynamics.
The main criticisms of the Palisade include its tight third row and cluttered console. However, if the Palisade gets a longer wheelbase for 2025, that might alleviate the third-row concerns. Similarly, it sounds like the console and dashboard have been redesigned for 2025, so that might also fix a common complaint.
However, compared to the Palisade’s excellent features, it’s not hard to put these complaints in the rearview mirror. The Hyundai Palisade offers an available massaging driver’s seat and a 12-speaker audio system. Even the lower trims come with a long list of standard features.
Will the Palisade Get a Layout Improvement?
Right now, the Hyundai Palisade delivers its performance through an eight-speed automatic transmission and a 3.8-liter V6. Most models come with FWD and AWD is optional, except on the Calligraphy trim where AWD is standard. One of the rumored improvements is a hybrid variant. In fact, there might be two hybrid choices.
A hybrid choice or two would likely improve the fuel economy for the Palisade and it might offer more models with standard AWD. As with many models offering two hybrid powertrains, one is likely to have more power than the other. It’s also likely that the hybrid version will deliver more power than the current V6 layout.
The release date of the 2025 Hyundai Palisade hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it should be sometime in the summer of this year. Prices and other details will become available at that point.
