Getting More Out of the Volkswagen Tiguan

Getting More Out of the Volkswagen Tiguan

With a style that looks better and a long list of features, the Volkswagen Tiguan for 2022 will arrive at dealerships in early autumn.

If you’ve been waiting for a new version of this SUV to drive, this is when you’ll see it and can bring one home to drive. You’ll be glad to have an SUV that offers you the style, package, and size that makes driving right for you.

This Isn’t New Information

For a while, we’ve known what the new Tiguan would look like. This new model was offered in Europe where the short-wheelbase version of this SUV was revealed and offered last summer. In North America, we will have the long-wheelbase version of this SUV and it will have the same upgrades to the style that we see in the European model.

Some of the new exterior items include a new set of LED headlights with a more pronounced “eyebrow”, an improved grille, new wheel designs, and upgraded bumper designs to finish the style of this SUV. Volkswagen has also created a new badge and that badge has been added to the Tiguan to give you a new way to recognize the name of this SUV. Overall, the style has been improved to give you the modern version of the Tiguan you want to drive.

Improvement Inside the Volkswagen Tiguan

When you move inside this SUV, you’ll find a new steering wheel, an eight-inch digital instrument cluster, the latest version of MIB3 infotainment, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, and heated front seats which will be offered on all trims of this vehicle. Higher trims will include a larger instrument screen, ventilated seats, and touch-capacitive steering wheel buttons to make it easier for you to have the controls you want to use.

The Tiguan will be offered with either FWD or AWD to give you the drive you want. This model is one of the only compact SUVs in the market that can be had with three rows of seats. If you want to have AWD, you will have to give up the rear set of seats to have the Volkswagen Tiguan you want to drive. This might be the way you want to enjoy the Tiguan when you only need two rows of seats.

The Power Continues

As before, the Volkswagen Tiguan will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 184 horsepower and 221 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission to give you the shifting that will make your drive smooth on the road. Take this SUV out for a drive and see how easy it is to enjoy the power it offers.

When the 2022 models arrive, the Tiguan will over four trims for you to choose from. These trims are S, SE, SE R-Line, and SEL R-Line. Visit your local Volkswagen dealer in the early part of autumn and see if this SUV will become the one you want to take home and drive every day.
