In an effort to have the vehicle that can easily compete with some of the highest performing luxury sports cars on the market Jaguar is bringing something special to the market and they will unleash it at the Goodwood Hill Climb which has become one of the most enjoyed and talked about events each year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This new car will be a low production model that we’re pretty sure will be asked for and desired by many as the next limited run car that we’re ready to have the driving excitement we want.
The new car that Jaguar has created is the XE SV Project 8. This amazing car is one that promises to be an exciting model to behold with the performance upgrades that we want to see. These performance improvements are led by the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine that pumps out 592 horsepower and 516 lb.-ft. of torque to give us the immense drive we want and the excitement we’ve been after. This impressive power hungry engine makes it possible for this car to reach sixty mph in only 3.3 seconds which makes it the fastest accelerating factory built Jaguar ever built. This car will also bring in in a top speed of 200 mph.
Of course, Jaguar isn’t going to leave you hanging with a bunch of power and nothing to do with it. The XE SV Project 8 will offer an AWD system, adjustable dampers on every wheel and carbon ceramic brakes. A differential cooler has been integrated into the rear diffuser to help keep the temperature as low as possible in the system and give you the driving quality you can certainly enjoy on the road or at the track when you get behind the wheel.
This car will be offered in two and four-seat configurations and all of the XE models will be four-door in nature. In the US we will only see four-seat versions of this car which will feature magnesium framed seats which are made to allow us to have the lightest weight possible for this car. There may be an optional two-seat Track Pack offered for some markets as well, and these will have the additional benefit of carbon fiber racing seats up front that have four-point harnesses. This could easily be one of the most fun to drive Jaguar models on the road and at the track.
While there will only be 300 of these cars built worldwide the debut will take place at the Goodwood Festival of Speed to let us have a great look at these cars. This new XE SV Project 8 will be hand-built at the new technical center in Coventry, England. This new model of the Jaguar might be out of your price range as a rare model, but it certainly will be one you want to see and admire as it makes its way up the Hill Climb to show off the speed and fun it can bring.
