Everywhere you turn there seems to be Toyota vehicles that are built for the action in place. They have developed race cars for several different racing circuits; they sponsor several companies and organizations as the main sponsors for some sporting events and are now entering a new area of the world. In a recent announcement, Toyota is the new title sponsor of the USSA Grand Prix. This puts Toyota in the winter sports arena and will make it the title sponsor of these sports which will air in three events over this winter, one in December, January and February.
The USSA is the US Ski and Snowboarding Association which has reached the agreement to be the title sponsor for this 21st season. This isn’t the first time Toyota has been involved in winter sports, but it will be the first time as the title sponsor of this organization. With the partnership between NBC, and the USSA, the US Grand Prix will be the strongest broadcast in winter Olympic style sports. The previous season offered a broadcast that reached 6.972 million viewers during the three stops on the tour with expectations for this new season being even better than before.
As the USSA dials up for the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang South Korea these events will be covered in more detail and offer a larger presence for us to enjoy and tune in. Expect to see more Toyota than ever before when you tune into these events over the course of the winter season. The events that will take place this year will be competitions at Copper Mountain, CO from Dec 14-17, at Solitude Mountain Resort, UT from Jan 19-22, and events from 1-4 February at Mammoth Mountain, CA to give you three amazing winter events to tune into.
The sports that will air during these broadcasts will feature halfpipe and big air snowboarding competitions, snowboard cross and ski cross, along with halfpipe and slopestyle skiing events as well as slopestyle snowboarding to give you a great look at some of the most impressive winter sports on display. The events at Mammoth Mountain will be the first of five Olympic qualifying events which puts these competitions in a light of which athletes will represent the US at the Olympics in the winter of 2018.
Not only can you see these awesome events during the next few months, but you’ll love the coverage as well, giving you stories and featuring former medalists to give you a great look at some of the impressive and heartwarming tales of the athletes that have competed in the past and are about to compete now. You can learn more about champions such as Kelly Clark, Jamie Anderson, David Wise and Maddie Bowman to name a few. With the backing of Toyota as part of the program sponsor team, having a look at what the US will put on display in South Korea in 2018 will certainly allow you to build some excitement for the events that will unfold in a short period of time, and Toyota will be there to present it all for your viewing pleasure.
