The Impreza has been one that has been on our market for a long time from Subaru and has always offered us a vehicle that was affordable and fun to drive. With standard AWD it’s been hard to argue against the Impreza for years and why would you want to? For the late 2016 or early 2017 timeframe we will get a new Subaru Impreza to drive that will show off as a car that offers us more of what we want from a five door hatchback vehicle that has already given us so much to love.
The new Subaru look sets up a wide and low stance for the Impreza which makes it sporty and attractive, giving us a vehicle that will be distinct and may even catch a few eyes along the road. The hexagonal grill starts the look that is flanked by hawk-eye headlights to give us an aggressive appeal that begins the stylistic journey. Showing off a long and flowing line from the front to the rear the new Impreza appears to have a forward stance that is ready to pounce at a moment’s notice. These smooth lines and easy to enjoy curves stop quickly at the rear in an attractive fashion that you might expect others to see more of than the front and sides as you drive past them on the road.
As for powertrains we expect to see the same one that Subaru has made for us for years. The low placed box four-cylinder gives many Subaru models that are great for driving and feels well-balanced on any road. As a car that will also have the standard AWD that Subaru offers the Impreza won’t be able to let you down on slick roads, in adverse weather conditions or even just when goofing around from behind the wheel.
This car and its new looks are made to be the right look for Subaru and give us a new car that will be the beginning of the style features this company expects to bring forward. The attractive artistry of the build certainly catches the eye and shows off with the attractive silver-gray metallic paint that showed up on the concept car that was presented to us at the Tokyo Motor Show.
One word of caution regarding the new Impreza, it would be a good idea to keep an eye on style changes and decisions from now until the concept makes it to production. Subaru has a habit of changing their style elements from concept to production for a variety of reasons and often we end up with vehicles that aren’t as artistically exquisite as the concept. If this look makes it to production, Subaru will certainly be at the top of their game from the stance of the right design elements.
