The Camaro keeps showing us a few different new features each month for us to keep interest and know it is coming soon. As one of the most anticipated and lauded offerings for the next model year Chevrolet doesn’t have to worry about the Camaro gaining the attention it deserves. With the new power folding roof the convertible version has joined the ranks of higher end sports cars with the technology to impress and amazing anyone looking at or riding in this awesome sports car with you as you push the V8 monster to new strength toward the next great destination you have in mind.
Chevrolet has done a masterful job of addressing some of the problems a convertible typically faces which is the stiffness of the chassis. The stiffness has been kept intact because the car is the same from the waist down in convertible form as it is in the coupe form, making it strong and capable in and out of every corner on the road and an absolute blast to drive when you get it out on the track and really let the car take off, making loop after loop that can lap some other sports cars.
The interior has received a much nicer look and feel which has been long overdue for many years. The upgraded material and better technology make it easy to enjoy the drive with a car that offers the best features from Chevrolet. For many years the Camaro has been a dialed down car when it comes to creature comforts and finally someone decided it was time to allow the longtime fans and drivers of this awesome car to have a comfortable seat and the tech that is enjoyed in other cars as well in order to have a great driving experience.
Most of the Camaro lineup is still going to be easy enough to enjoy as daily driver models which means you can drive yours as your commuter car and know you will be able to show off for your friends and family in the awesome new sports car you have, especially if you choose the convertible model with the power roof, which is just a fun feature to show to anyone who looks a little green from jealousy. Once you show it off you can head out of town for a long country drive that allows you to enjoy the fun of driving with the wind whipping through your hair.
There will be three engines you can enjoy on the Camaro a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder will be at the base with 275 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. The next will be a 3.6-liter V6 that makes a jump to 335 horsepower and 284 lb.-ft. of torque. At the top the SS will be powered by the LT1 6.2-liter V8 which shows its teeth at 455 horsepower and 455 lb.-ft. of torque to be a top player and a phenomenal ride. Regardless of what Camaro suits you, the fun and excitement you can get from this awesome car an only be had at your Chevrolet dealers later this fall when the 2016 models come out, until then we can all sit and wait as we are chomping at the bit to get inside one of these awesome new cars.
