New Design Cues Coming to the 2019 Honda Civic

The new Honda Civic Sedan and Coupe models will be offered at dealership locations around the country beginning on October 10. This car is one that we’ve admired for decades and for this new model year, the Civic will offer upgrades to the design inside and out. A standard safety package is also being added to make sure you can have more of the features you want when you choose this as the car that can be ideal for the drive that you want to enjoy every day.

Adding a New Sport Trim to the Mix

The Honda Civic will be offered in the Sport trim and this trim will give you features that certainly allow you to understand this car makes sense. This new Sport trim is one that will give you 18-inch wheels, enhancements in the handling features, and the value-added features to ensure you have more of what you’re looking for. This new Sport trim is offered to be part of a lineup that gives you the LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, Si, and Type Ras the models that can be chosen in the Civic in Sedan, Coupe, or Hatchback forms.

Powering the Civic Sport

The power for the 2019 Honda Civic Sport model will come from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that’s attached to a six-speed manual transmission. There is an optional CVT automatic that you can have if you’re not sure how to work a manual. The rear decklid receives a black painted spoiler and Sport badges can be found in a variety of locations on this car. This car looks a lot like the Civic Si, but is offered in Sedan and Coupe models while the Si is offered as one of the hot hatch versions of the Civic that you can choose to drive.

Adding More Safety to the Mix

The new Honda Sensing suite of safety technologies is offered as part of the standard items you can enjoy in the Honda Civic. This suite of technologies includes automatic high beams, an electronic parking brake with automatic brake hold, and a variety of driver assistance features. There’s also a new seven-inch Display audio infotainment system that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. These technology upgrades are offered to make sure you can have the safety and qualities you want when it’s time to take this car out on the road.

More Comfort and Qualities in the Civic

On the inside, the Civic has a redesigned steering wheel with controls for more intuitive operation. The new center console cupholders can hold larger beverages and the dash trim can be finished in gunmetal gray, which is an excellent appearance for this car. All Honda Civic models benefit from additional insulation in the floor, trunk, and front fenders, with new sound insulation in the rear fenders. If you’re looking for a new Honda Civic to drive, visit your nearby Honda dealership in the next few weeks to be one of the first to take the 2019 version out on the road.
